It did not turn out to be an Aprilfool! As we anticipated, two weeks ago, the iPhone SE has been announced by Apple! Yes, it’s the new iPhone SE, not
iPhone 9, iPhone SE 2. Even the $399 starting pricet ag was spot on, for the U.S. market, of course! However, you can buy the device for as low as $229 if you have a trade-in smartphone from Apple.
The 2020 iPhone SE comes with the iPhone 8 chassis but packs much more powerful internals, including the A13 Bionic chip. It’s available in three colors Black, White and Product RED. However, this time around the Product RED revenue share will be donated by Apple to aid the fight against the novel coronavirus outrbeak, instead its regular donation to support the HIV/AIDS relief program.

iPhone SE Pricing And PreOrders
As mentioned above, Apple markets their low-end 2020 iPhone as the most affordable iPhone available for purchase. The 64GB storage unit starts at $399. You have to pay 50 bucks more for the 128GB, while the 256GB costs $549.
Fact: All prices are for the U.S. market and they not include state tax.
Preorders: start today, April 17th and the first units will start to reach the buyers one week later, Friday, April the 24th.
iPhone SE vs Google Pixel 4A
It seems that the main competitor of the new iPhone SE will be the Pixel 4A from Google, at least from the pricing comparison. Performance wise the iPhone should score better, while Goolge’s smartphone wins the screen head-to-head.
The comparison of the Camera’s should place the Pixel 4A ahead when it comes to photos, while the iPhone SE edges in front when it comes to video/audio quality.
